            Gretchen Tartakoff, The Chocolate Muse, Owner of The Chocolate Bar

The business ventures of The Chocolate Bar, are based in Bucks County, PA and are inspired by "The World of  Chocolate". The Mission and Vision of The Chocolate Bar has been founded on combining education, community and good business practices. With a passion to protect nature and all that it encompasses, there's a pull, like a magnet, that draws me to focus my attention both on our National resources as well as the Rainforest region. 

My career has taken many different turns that have given me rich experiences:from Art Therapist to Chocolatier, there's flavors of work experience that infuse my day, every day.

  • I create a bi-monthly newsletter for 2500(+) Chocolatiers/Retailers/Event Planners. Reviewing different chocolates, offering insight into 'The Journey of The Pod'(cacoa) and coaching tips to build a strong business.
  • Trained as an Art Therapist, with more than 13 yrs experience, I now am an Executive Assistant for with 8 yrs experience at a leading Biologics Company. Creating Team-building events, supporting the Women's Leadership Initiative, serving as a core team member on the annual United Way Campaign and managing global communication for the Leadership Team:it's all great.
  • As a Chocolatier, I get to create in a whole different medium. It combines imagining and blending elegant flavors, textures and baking: all with imported dark chocolate.


2010 is focused on expanding ways to Showcase the Trendsetters in the Industry while providing ways to taste and buy some of the finest chocolates. Learning from Demos, experiencing Artisanal chocolate products and immersing yourself in the bliss of what chocolate brings...is the joy I get in 'Bringing The World of Chocolate to You'.

I began shaping, painting, drafting and developing the exhibit as a way to channel my concern that History was getting overlooked as a respected teacher. With images coming alive almost as tall as I am, the power of art triumphs. Textures and text come together to create an interactive exhibit that has depth.
